Full job description

Business Administration Apprentice

Location: Head Office, Redditch

Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Business Administration Apprentice. They will be responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support across key business areas, namely Head Office and Plant & Transport functions.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the wider administrative team in ensuring a welcoming, organised and efficient office
Handling communication tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and directing enquiries to the appropriate team or contact
Maintaining accurate and up to date filing systems
Supporting colleagues with document preparation, data entry and reporting
Help maintain facilities where required
Arrange and coordinate meetings, ensuring minutes are recorded and distributed when required
Support the Plant function, learning to resolve issues and enquiries via telephone and email
Balance work responsibilities with apprenticeship training

The Successful Applicant will have:

English GCSE Grade 4/C, Level 2 Functional Skills, or equivalent
Mathematics GCSE Grade 4/C, Level 2 Functional Skills, or equivalent
Strong organisational skills and good time management
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
The ability to take responsibility and get things done independently
Friendly and helpful – happy to support others and go the extra mile

What We Offer:

A structured apprenticeship programme in Business Administration, leading to a Level 3 qualification.
You’ll gain experience through both on-the-job learning and off-the-job training. Depending on the training provider, this could include college day release, online workshops, and regular assessor visits.
Exposure to learn across multiple business areas within a construction environment.
Opportunities to grow your career with us once you successfully complete the apprenticeship.

Package:

o Contract Type: Apprentice

o Weekly Hours: 08:00am to 16:00pm (We are open to discussing reasonable adjustments)

o Holiday Allowance: 23 days plus bank holidays, with additional holiday based on service. For part-time employees, holiday entitlement will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
