Company Overview

The Highfield Hotel is a family-run establishment located just outside of Durham in Houghton le Spring. With 30 letting rooms, a traditional bar area, and a Thai restaurant, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team at The Highfield Hotel. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our hotel, ensuring that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to the highest standards.
Change bed linens, towels, and replenish guest supplies as needed.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored properly after use.
Assist with laundry duties as required to support the housekeeping department.
Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing areas to ensure guest safety.

Requirements

Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and staff.
