Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, and maintaining a clean and organised front-of-house area. Previous restaurant experience is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in service.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and manage reservations with professionalism.
Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring prompt service.
Make high quality cocktails and other beverages.
Serve food and drinks while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety.
Assist with food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required.
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing friendly recommendations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area, including tables, counters, and service stations.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and manage basic maths calculations efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods.
Support in closing duties, including sanitising work areas and restocking supplies.

Qualifications

Supervisory experience is desirable.
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures is desirable.
Basic maths skills for processing payments and managing bills confidently.
Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
