Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages and documents to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate efficiently through urban and rural areas.

Duties

Load and unload packages, ensuring that items are handled with care and securely stored during transit.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including addresses, times, and any relevant notes.
Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including sorting packages and preparing them for dispatch.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
Familiarity with local roads and routes is highly beneficial.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
