Dental Hygienist

A fully private practice, we offer a comprehensive range of services, from routine hygiene care to advanced cosmetic dentistry and implant surgery, and always prioritise patient comfort and clinical excellence. We are looking for a passionate, GDC-registered Dental Hygienist to join our friendly, forward-thinking team dedicated to patient care and professional excellence.

About Us
Located in the heart of Tamworth, Distinctive Dentistry offers comprehensive dental care in a welcoming, modern environment. As an independently owned, fully private practice, we are proud to deliver high standards of preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry using the latest technology.

What You’ll Do
Working in partnership with all our dental team, you will:

Deliver high-quality dental hygiene treatments under prescription
Provide tailored oral health education and home care advice
Carry out periodontal charting, root surface debridement, and preventive care
Use intra-oral scanning for education, whitening trays, and retainers
Work with the advanced NSK Varios Combi Pro 2 for efficient, comfortable hygiene treatment.
Follow cross-infection protocols
Maintain detailed clinical notes and patient records
Supervise the assisting dental nurses
Collaborate closely with the dental team
Attend team meetings and contribute to practice development

What We’re Looking For

GDC-registered Dental Hygienist
Excellent clinical and communication skills
A commitment to delivering outstanding patient care
Current professional indemnity insurance and CPD
Experience in private practice is a bonus, but not essential. All we ask is that you're dedicated to the private patient experience along with providing excellence in clinical care.

Hours - Wednesday 9am-1pm, Thursday/Friday 9am-5:20pm

We're excited about our long-term plan to introduce 30-minute hygiene appointments. Whilst we're still working towards this, appointments are currently 20 minutes, so we're looking for someone who shares our vision and is happy to support us on that journey.
