Job Introduction

Ward Catering Assistant

Location: Nuffield Health Taunton

Salary: £12.71 per hour + Sodexo Benefits

Hours: 32.5 per week,

5 days out of 7

As a Ward Catering Assistant, you’ll bring comfort, care and a friendly smile to patients, visitors and staff by helping deliver high‑quality meals and exceptional service across the hospital. Your warmth and professionalism can brighten someone’s day and make a meaningful difference during challenging moments.

What You’ll Do

Assist with preparing, setting up and serving hot and cold meals
Follow recipes and product guidelines to maintain food quality
Clean and sanitise workstations, equipment and service areas
Break down and tidy food service areas after mealtimes
Provide excellent customer service with a positive, caring approach

What You Bring

A passion for great food and helping others
A friendly, respectful and professional attitude
Basic food‑handling and hygiene awareness
Ability to stay active and on your feet throughout your shift
Reliability, teamwork and a commitment to high standards
