Overview

We are looking for a reliable and practical Production Operative to join our GRP manufacturing team in Halesfield, Telford.

This is a varied, hands-on production role where you will work as part of a team to manufacture, prepare, finish, check, pack, and dispatch products.

You will be involved in the day-to-day production process from raw materials through to finished goods, with training provided across different areas of the business.

No previous GRP experience is required, as full training will be provided. However, experience in a manufacturing, production, fabrication, joinery, or similar hands-on role would be highly beneficial.

The role would suit someone who is practical, dependable, comfortable using basic tools, able to measure accurately, follow paperwork correctly, and work well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing GRP products - Cutting, preparing, and finishing materials
Using hand tools, basic machinery, and production equipment safely
Measuring materials accurately and following job sheets or production paperwork
Quality checking products during and after production
Packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch
Handling, lifting, and moving materials safely
Keeping the production area clean, organised, and safe
Working as part of a team to complete orders accurately and efficiently
Assisting with general production and warehouse duties as required
Following company procedures and health and safety requirements

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in manufacturing, production, fabrication, joinery, or a similar hands-on role would be highly beneficial
Practical and confident using basic hand tools
Able to measure accurately and follow written instructions
Able to read and follow job sheets, paperwork, and order requirements
Good attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Able to work well as part of a small team
Willing to learn new skills and work across different areas of production
Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
Forklift experience or a forklift licence would be beneficial but is not essential

About the Role
