The Company’s aims and objectives
Orsa Housing provides supported accommodation for people who have been or are at risk of homelessness and require support to eliminate the causes of homelessness and live independent lives. We provide support with training and social engagement, benefits support and referrals and engagement with external support providers alongside our basic housing related support.

The service aims to ensure that the service users’ needs are met, and they progress and develop their skills through the support that they receive. The service aims to enable service users to live independently within the community with the primary objective of ‘moving on’ from the accommodation to more independent living.
We aim to ensure that all our employees have the necessary skills and capabilities to do their jobs. Orsa Housing will evaluate their work through monthly supervisions and yearly appraisals and at the same time assist employees in pinpointing relevant training and development opportunities.
Job Description
This role forms part of the front-line delivery to our service users who may potentially be vulnerable or have a special housing need. Your role is to provide a home, deliver property management functions and provide the service user with support to look after their home. The role also includes partnership and collaborative working with colleagues, external agencies, and third parties.
You will be passionate about delivering a great service to a diverse client group and ensuring Service Users fully understand their responsibilities to maintain property condition. You will ensure safeguarding is at the heart of the service, escalating any concerns and working closely with the Service User Support Staff to ensure Service Users have access to the appropriate support.
Key Objectives
- Day to day responsibility and management of a portfolio of properties across all locations.
- In line with Orsa Housing’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy, delivery of a resident focused service ensuring a tailored approach to meet individual needs whilst being culturally aware and sensitive of circumstances.
- Delivery of service to ensure safeguarding and welfare of all residents are fully considered in line with processes and that property condition is maintained.
- Conducting weekly and monthly inspections (where appropriate) to ensure full contractual compliance and successful outcomes of all Key Performance Indicators, internal and regulatory targets.
- Monitoring and management of repairs and property improvements to ensure minimal impact on residents and good quality and compliant works are carried out.
- Working collaboratively with the senior management to deliver a seamless service meeting the individual and property needs of all our residents.
- Delivery of performance and service reporting as requested by line manager, escalating all risks and concerns
- Undertake ad hoc projects and provide support and cover for colleagues within Orsa Housing.
- Ensure full compliance with Orsa Housing’s code of conduct and policies & procedures
· To liaise with owners in the reporting of defects, repairs and health and safety concerns
· Complete all reports to owners and senior management as required
· Liaise with support workers and service manager with any property concerns related to resident areas
· Liaise with residents directly with any health and safety concerns including appropriate warnings both verbal and written
· Delivery of move in, move out, void and overall property management service; ensuring all risks are mitigated or flagged to management for action.
· Management of relationships with third parties and owners to maintain property standards and ensure the needs of residents are met.
· All records and IT data on systems is updated with accurate and up to date information. This will also need to meet contractual requirements including monthly monitoring systems to senior management
· To purchase items for properties as and when required
· To clean, communal areas within properties when required
· To move and dispose of rubbish, broken furniture when required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience within this role is desirable but not essential, all training will be given on the job.
- Access to own vehicle with business insurance cover
- Commitment to put the service users at the heart of the service to deliver a great user experience to a diverse client group
- Process driven candidates with great attention to detail and meticulous record keeping evidenced by maintaining accurate information on IT systems
