Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Person to join our team.

You will work closely with the Head of Maintenance alongside our other maintenance team members to ensure the hotel is safe, well-maintained, and running smoothly for both guests and staff.

This is a varied role suited to someone proactive, practical, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.)
Respond promptly to maintenance issues reported by guests or staff
Assist the Head of Maintenance with planned and reactive maintenance tasks
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to complete jobs efficiently
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas
Ensure all health & safety standards are followed
Maintain outdoor areas (entrances, grounds, car park etc)
Report any major faults or repair needs

Requirements

Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and general repairs
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Good time management and problem-solving skills
Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude
Physically able to carry out manual tasks

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting
Basic understanding of health & safety regulations
Relevant maintenance qualifications

Pay & Benefits

Competitive hourly rate of £13.55 (from 1st April)
Employer pension contribution
Paid holiday entitlement
Enhanced pay (time and a half) for Bank Holiday working

Full TIme Hours available.

Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Must be available to cover weekends when needed.

Pay: £13.55 per hour
