Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to individuals receiving home care services. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalised care with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and commitment to person-centered care will help create a warm, respectful environment where clients feel valued and supported every day.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
Support clients in taking their medications as prescribed, following care plans accurately
Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a caring environment
Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met safely
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Keep accurate records of care provided, including updates to care plans and incident reports
Use IT tools to document client progress and communicate with team members efficiently

Requirements

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving home visits or transportation of clients
Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients and team members
Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and adapt to individual needs
Good IT skills for maintaining records and using digital communication tools
Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, respectful approach towards all clients
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
