Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bartender/Senior Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and crafting high-quality beverages. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring guests enjoy memorable experiences. Previous restaurant or bar experience is required, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible serving practices. Experience with cocktails is ideal but not vital, as training can be provided to the right candidate.

- You will be presentable and fit to work at all times whilst on duty and always arrive in good time for your shifts.

Bar Specific responsibilities:
- At all times work to fulfil the general responsibilities/standards/expectations and personal competencies set down by the group.
- Have a full comprehension of the role of Bar Back and to potentially have worked within this capacity. Be able to instruct the Bar Backs within their duties and actions on shift.
- Work in a professional manner to achieve the goals and objectives set down by the site management.
- Have an understanding of all of the tools (basic or otherwise) used in bartending and be able to use these tools effectively and at good speed.
- Have the knowledge and the practical skills required of basic practical abilities (including basic service and presentation skills, free pouring, garnish preparation, cleanliness etc.) and have a developed knowledge of the wider practical abilities and competencies required to be a professional bartender, particularly those documented in the bartender training program.
- Have an understanding of all of the house pour products (spirits/beers/wines/champagnes) and basic product offer (including food). You should be able to field tricky questions regarding the basic offer and comfortably recommend these products and appropriate alternatives. You will be very comfortable in the usage and delivery of the basic offer
- You will be fully proficient in the delivery of and have a strong knowledge of all the recipes required to create all cocktails and menu items. Your proficiency will also be displayed through the quality of the drinks that you create, the speed at which you can do this and your ability to attain the high standard set by the group always.
- You will know in full all of the procedures (as documented in the company manual) required for the full set-up and breakdown of the bar so that it is fit for function, purpose and service and be readily able to adapt this knowledge based on the daily requirements of the bar.
- Have a solid grounding in and good knowledge of the wider product range. You will know about and be able to field questions regarding a good proportion of the products found on the back bar particularly those that are frequently ordered, used and have obvious consumer appeal.
- Display a basic understanding of the way in which the site at which you work operates on a general level.
- Display the necessary confidence, knowledge base and skill level to help guide newer and less experienced members of staff.
- Continually perform in the Bartender Training Program and complete each area of examination to the standard set out by the group and the Bar Management Team.
Floor Specific responsibilities:
- At all times work to fulfil the general responsibilities/standards/expectations and personal competencies set down by the group.
- Work in a professional manner to achieve the goals and objectives set down by the site management team.
- You will aim to maintain a clean and presentable service area for our customers (regardless of levels of trade)
- To have a good understanding of and to be able to accurately operate the POS system (Square) utilised in the site at which you work.
- Have an understanding of the role/duties of the Reception Working Area and the matching Standard Operating procedure. Including how all bookings are organised and operated using fareharbor and successfully use this system.
- Successfully engage and interact with customers/visitors. This should include dealing with customer enquiries or issues and be able to advise/upsell customers on all of the site’s offerings (activities, drinks, food & special offers)
- To be able to report directly to your line manager any instances relating to service, equipment, staff or customers that might be necessary to maintain your general responsibilities.
- You will be competent in the delivery and service of both food and drinks according to the Runners manual.
- You will learn all of the procedures (as documented in the manual or directly by the site) required for the full breakdown and end of shift cleaning of all areas of the floor.
