Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Cafe Manager to lead our vibrant cafe team and ensure an exceptional customer experience. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, maintain food quality standards, and uphold food safety regulations. Your leadership will inspire a collaborative environment where teamwork, hospitality, and culinary excellence thrive. Duties

Lead and supervise cafe staff, including baristas, kitchen, and serving personnel, fostering a motivated and cohesive team
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality offerings that meet safety standards
Manage daily operations such as opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas of the cafe
Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
Coordinate food production schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
Train team members on food safety protocols, culinary techniques, and hospitality best practices

Experience

Proven supervising experience of two years plus in a hospitality or restaurant setting with team management responsibilities
Extensive restaurant or cafe experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
Demonstrated leadership skills in fast-paced environments, including training and mentoring staff
Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes
Previous experience in hotel or hospitality industries is highly desirable
Barista experience is a plus, showcasing expertise in beverage preparation and customer engagement
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food presentation
Good understanding of P & L
Able to implement processes to maximise GP and control staff costs
