Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with a strong understanding of food safety and production processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning cakes that meet our customers' specifications while adhering to high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and specifications.
Prepare cake batters, icings, and fillings using various baking techniques.
Ensure all food safety standards are met during food preparation and decoration.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including tools and equipment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production of cakes for events and orders.
Stay updated on current trends in cake decoration and incorporate new techniques into your work.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and ingredients needed for cake production.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production or preparation, preferably within a bakery or restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on baking and cake decoration techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.
