Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated deputy manager and a level 3 Early Years Educator to join our vibrant team. In this vital leadership role, you will support the management team in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire both children and staff, fostering a positive atmosphere where learning and development flourish. Duties

Assist the management team in overseeing daily nursery operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and policies
Support the planning and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development
Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance to uphold high standards of childcare and education
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision and adhering to health and safety protocols
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external agencies to support children's individual needs
Contribute to staff training sessions, meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives
Take responsibility for managing the nursery in the absence of senior management, making decisions that prioritize quality care

Skills

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of early childhood education principles
Excellent management and leadership skills to motivate and guide a team effectively
Strong communication skills in English, capable of building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding policies
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with nursery administration tasks such as record keeping and activity planning
Valid driving license is preferred for transporting children or attending off-site activities when necessary
