Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medico-Legal Associate to join our professional team. The successful candidate will assist in a variety of legal tasks, supporting our medicolegal department in ensuring compliance, report preperation, proofing, and preparing documentation in personal injury, clinical negligence and work place injury assessments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to develop their medicolegal expertise within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for recent graduates or those with relevant experience seeking to advance their legal career.

Responsibilities

Respond to client enquiries, emails, quote requests.
Draft, review, and edit legal documents including contracts, , memos, quotes, appointment requests and general correspondence.
Assist in preparing case files and organising evidence for court proceedings or client meetings.
Support senior lawyers with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining case management systems.
Liaise with clients, external counsel, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
Attend court sessions or client meetings as required to observe proceedings and gather relevant information.
Some clinic letter/interview typing will be required.

Requirements/Benficial skills

A recognised qualification in Law (LLB or equivalent) or relevant medicolegal training.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in British English.
Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all work produced.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under tight deadlines.
Prior experience in a legal environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
A proactive attitude with strong analytical skills and ethical integrity. This role provides an engaging environment for aspiring legal professionals eager to gain practical experience while contributing meaningfully to our organisation’s success.
Role for succesful candidate can be entirely remote, or mixed remote/part time office working potentially in time to come in Stafford/Wolverhampton area. Hours and days are negotiable.

Pay: £147.98-£600.00 per month
