Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle equipped with a tipping mechanism, delivering construction materials, aggregates, or other bulk goods to various sites. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. This position offers an engaging work environment where your driving skills and attention to detail will make a real impact on project success.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle with a tipping mechanism, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards
Load and unload materials efficiently, ensuring correct placement and securement of loads
Deliver goods to multiple sites accurately and on schedule, maintaining professional communication with clients and site personnel
Maintain detailed delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle documentation in accordance with company policies
Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe tipping practices and hazard awareness during deliveries
Assist with basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly

Experience

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with tipper or flatbed vehicles
Familiarity with driving regulations related to heavy goods vehicles and transportation safety standards
Experience in delivering construction materials or bulk goods is highly desirable
Strong understanding of vehicle loading, securing loads, and safe tipping procedures
Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes for timely deliveries
