Phoenix SC is recruiting on behalf of a confidential aviation sector client for an ambitious Sales Executive to join their growing commercial team based in South Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with aviation industry experience who is looking to develop a long-term career in a commercial and customer-focused role. The successful candidate will support sales activities, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to business growth across a global customer base.

Working within a fast-paced aviation environment, you will engage with customers and industry partners, support account management activities, and help ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development and maintenance of customer relationships across international markets.
Assist with account management activities and customer engagement.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial documentation.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within CRM systems.
Monitor customer enquiries and provide timely responses.
Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities for growth.
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

Previous experience within the aviation or aerospace industry is highly desirable.
1–2 years of experience in sales, account management, customer service, or a commercial support role.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, organised, and commercially aware approach.
Experience using CRM and ERP systems would be advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Aviation, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.

Maintain ongoing relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products or services.
Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and proposals using IT tools.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the organisation’s offerings.
Manage a pipeline of leads through effective time management and organisational skills.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

Proven experience in B2B sales or similar roles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Valid driving licence is preferred due to travel requirements for client meetings and presentations.
Proficiency in IT systems including CRM software, MS Office, and other relevant tools.
Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Good time management skills to handle multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
Customer service orientation with a professional attitude at all times.
