About OFF STAGE LIVE
OFF STAGE LIVE is a new dance competition and convention experience bringing together dancers, dance schools, teachers, colleges, performers and industry brands.
Our first event will combine dance competition, training, masterclasses, teacher development, industry opportunities and brand experiences, creating a fresh event for the UK dance community.
OFF STAGE LIVE will officially launch in September 2026, with competition registrations opening in October 2026.
We are recruiting our Dance Competition Sales Executive ahead of time, with the successful candidate expected to start later in the launch process, around November 2026, once the brand, marketing campaigns and registration systems are established.
The Role
This is a relationship-led sales and conversion role with one primary objective:
To grow the number of dance schools and dancers competing at OFF STAGE LIVE.
You will work closely with the Founder and Brand Marketing Manager.
Marketing will play a significant role in generating awareness, registrations and inbound enquiries. Your role will then be to personally follow up those leads, build relationships with dance-school owners and teachers, and convert interest into confirmed participation.
This is not simply a high-volume cold-calling position.
We are looking for someone who can communicate confidently with the dance industry, build genuine relationships and stay on top of prospective schools throughout what can be a several-month booking journey.
Alongside competition sales, there will also be opportunities to support the commercial growth of OFF STAGE LIVE through exhibitor stands, selected sponsorship packages and Teacher Convention sales.
Competition Sales Journey
Competition registrations are expected to open in October 2026.
Dance schools will be able to register their interest and estimated participation before confirming their final dancer entries.
The anticipated process will include:
- Initial competition registration
- Personal follow-up from OFF STAGE LIVE
- Confirmation of the school's place
- Ongoing relationship management and follow-up
- Final dancer numbers and entries
- Final competition payment deadline ahead of the event
Your role will be particularly important in keeping schools engaged between their initial registration and final payment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDance Competition
- Follow up dance schools registering through the OFF STAGE LIVE website and marketing campaigns.
- Build relationships with dance-school owners, principals, teachers and competition teams.
- Contact relevant new dance schools through targeted phone, email and social outreach.
- Introduce schools to the OFF STAGE LIVE competition and explain the event format, categories and opportunities.
- Convert interested schools into confirmed registrations.
- Secure competition deposits where applicable.
- Maintain regular contact with registered schools in the lead-up to final entry deadlines.
- Follow up incomplete registrations and outstanding information.
- Support schools through the registration process.
- Track estimated dancer numbers and projected competition revenue.
- Follow up final dancer entries and payments as deadlines approach.
- Identify large or strategically important dance schools for the Founder to become involved with where appropriate.
Exhibitors & Partnerships
You may also support the Founder with selected commercial opportunities, including:
- Following up brands interested in exhibiting at OFF STAGE LIVE.
- Selling exhibitor stands and securing booking deposits.
- Prospecting suitable dance, fashion, beauty, education, training and lifestyle brands.
- Supporting the sale of selected sponsorship packages.
- Following up commercial enquiries generated through marketing.
- Identifying larger sponsorship opportunities for the Founder to personally lead.
Teacher Convention
Marketing will drive Teacher Convention awareness and online ticket sales, while you may:
- Discuss the Teacher Convention with dance-school owners and teachers.
- Identify potential group bookings.
- Cross-sell the convention when speaking with participating schools.
- Follow up relevant teacher and school enquiries.
Marketing-Led Sales Approach
OFF STAGE LIVE will have a strong marketing strategy designed to generate awareness and leads before and during your involvement.
You will therefore work closely with the Brand Marketing Manager across campaigns including:
- Dance-school registration campaigns
- Social-media campaigns
- Paid advertising
- Email marketing
- Exhibitor campaigns
- Teacher Convention campaigns
- Website registrations and enquiries
The aim is for marketing to generate interest and for you to provide the human follow-up, relationship building and conversion needed to turn that interest into revenue.

- Persistent without being overly pushy.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Hours & Growth
The role will initially be approximately 8 hours per week.
As this is a freelance position, there will be flexibility around how the agreed hours are delivered, while ensuring prospective schools and commercial partners receive consistent and timely follow-up.
The role will begin at 8 hours per week during the initial launch period.
Following the first 3-month review, there may be an opportunity to increase to approximately 12-16 hours per week, depending on:
- Performance
- Competition registrations
- Sales pipeline
- Business requirements
- Workload
- OFF STAGE LIVE's growth and available budget
Further increases in hours may be available as the event approaches and the business grows, but additional hours are not automatically guaranteed.
Freelance Arrangement
This is a freelance, self-employed contractor position.
The successful candidate will invoice OFF STAGE LIVE monthly for agreed work completed, with invoices payable within 30 days.
The initial engagement will include a 3-month service review period.
During the initial service period, either party may end the arrangement by providing 7 days' written notice, in accordance with the final freelance agreement.
Pay & Commission
£13 per hour + performance-based commission.
Commission will be designed to reward genuine commercial results, including successful competition sales and other agreed revenue-generating activity.
Full commission targets and payment terms will be confirmed as part of the role offer.
