Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Body Builder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring commercial vehicle bodies with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for craftsmanship and mechanical work to contribute to high-quality vehicle modifications and builds. The position involves working in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and quality are paramount.

Responsibilities

Construct, assemble, and install commercial vehicle bodies according to specifications and customer requirements.
Repair and refurbish existing vehicle bodies, ensuring durability and safety standards are met.
Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, weld, and assemble components accurately.
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to handle large panels, frames, and other materials.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
Inspect completed work for defects or inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
Experience operating power tools including drills, grinders, welders, and cutting machines.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, demonstrating physical strength and stamina.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for individuals committed to craftsmanship within the commercial vehicle industry who thrive on delivering high-quality results through skilled manual work.

Pay: Up to £17.40 per hour
