Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The successful candidate will support culinary operations by ensuring all kitchen areas are hygienic and well-stocked, enabling our chefs to deliver exceptional service. Previous experience in a hospitality setting is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the food and beverage industry.

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to meet hygiene standards
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment
Restocking supplies and organising storage areas efficiently
Supporting the smooth running of the kitchen during service times
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
Maintaining a tidy and organised workspace throughout shifts

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is essential
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or serving roles is beneficial
Experience working in a busy kitchen or hospitality setting will be advantageous
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
