Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist/Patient Care Co-ordinator to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and medical staff, responsible for ensuring a welcoming environment and smooth administrative operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop organisational skills within a dynamic private hospital setting. Prior medical and administrative experience are desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and staff in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring they feel welcomed
Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them to appropriate departments or personnel
Manage the reception area, maintaining a tidy and organised environment
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and deliveries efficiently
Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for plastic surgeons
Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management
Support team members with various clerical duties as required
Ensure security protocols are followed when visitors sign in or out

Skills

Previous office experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with administrative procedures
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar programmes
Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional attitude
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations diplomatically

This position provides an engaging work environment where organisational skills are valued. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute positively to our team.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
