Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intermediate / Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in cost control and project estimation to contribute to the successful delivery of our projects across diverse sectors.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
Analyse project scope, specifications, and drawings to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost optimisation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop comprehensive proposals and budgets.
Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying variances promptly.
Conduct market research to source competitive prices for materials, labour, and subcontractor services.
Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations, negotiating terms where appropriate.
Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, including compiling all necessary documentation.
Maintain organised records of estimates, revisions, and related documentation for future reference.
Provide mentorship to junior estimators, sharing expertise in cost control techniques and estimation processes.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction or engineering sectors, with a strong emphasis on cost control.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex drawings and technical specifications.
Proficiency in estimating software programmes and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Demonstrated ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team environment. This role offers a challenging yet rewarding environment for estimators eager to apply their expertise in a reputable organisation committed to excellence in project delivery.

Pay: £44,998.42-£70,615.97 per year
