Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen management, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a reputable hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and production.
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service.
Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times.
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Lead by example in food presentation, cooking techniques, and overall culinary excellence.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Assist in developing new menus and special dishes in collaboration with the culinary team.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the kitchen area.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food production, preparation, and cooking.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or restaurant setting is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
Passion for hospitality, serving high-quality cuisine, and delivering excellent guest experiences.
