About the Role

At The Hermitage, we believe that great care starts with great people. We are looking for caring, compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join our friendly team and help make a real difference to the lives of our residents every day.

This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will support residents to maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing while providing the highest standard of person-centred care. Whether you are experienced in care or looking to start a new career, we would love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities

Supporting residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming.
Assisting residents with mobility and helping them remain as independent as possible.
Supporting residents with eating and drinking where required.
Building positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
Providing emotional support, companionship and meaningful interaction.
Encouraging residents to take part in activities and daily routines.
Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
Maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
Following care plans and working in line with policies and procedures.
Helping to create a safe, welcoming and homely environment for residents.

The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays where required.
Previous care experience is welcomed but not essential as full training will be provided.
