Overview

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, manage kitchen staff, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a high standard of service within a busy hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management and stock control
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Manage food presentation to ensure visual appeal and consistency across all dishes
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service timings and guest requirements
Monitor cleanliness of the kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies
Assist in menu planning, development, and innovation to enhance customer satisfaction
Ensure all food production activities meet the organisation’s standards for quality and efficiency

Skills

Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment
Sound understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Experience in menu development, food costing, and inventory control is desirable
A passion for culinary arts with an innovative approach to food presentation and flavour combinations
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or special events as required
