Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a Nursing Home specialising in care of the elderly, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a dedicated team to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for residents. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with a strong background in nursing or home care management to make a positive impact within our organisation.

Duties

Oversee the overall management of the care home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and quality standards.
Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, including specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Supervise and support staff, including supervising experience in managing teams of carers and nursing staff.
Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols and ensure accurate documentation.
Lead on staff recruitment, training programmes, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
Maintain effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
Monitor the quality of care provided, conducting audits and implementing improvements where necessary.
Manage budgets, resources, and documentation related to care provision efficiently.
Promote a positive organisational culture centred around leadership, compassion, and excellence in senior care.

Skills

Proven experience in residential or nursing home environments with a strong understanding of the needs of older adults.
Extensive knowledge of dementia care practices including Alzheimer’s care strategies.
Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual requirements.
Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience in a healthcare or residential setting.
Competence in medication administration adhering to safety protocols.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams within a care home environment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing care homes and home care services.
Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to foster trust among residents, families, and staff. This position is ideal for an accomplished professional committed to delivering exceptional senior care through effective management and compassionate leadership within a supportive environment.

Pay: Up to £50,000.00 per year
