Our dealership is currently undergoing a significant full-site refurbishment, due for completion in early 2027. This major investment reflects our commitment to creating a modern, state-of-the-art environment for both colleagues and customers, making this a fantastic opportunity to join our team and be part of an exciting new chapter.

At our BYD Hartlepool dealership, we are currently recruiting for a General Sales Manager to join our team! We are offering a £45,000 basic salary with an OTE of £65,000 plus tax efficient company car and great company benefits!

As a General Sales Manager you will be leading and managing a controlled sales process through a team including Business Managers, Sales Executives and support colleagues through regular coaching, robust management and constant customer interaction with first and second facing activity at its heart. You will serve and support your team to sell new and used vehicles, with a range of add-on products including finance whilst ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times. You will also manage all sales campaigns and promotions that maximise sales ensuring we uphold the highest ethical standards

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record of sales and performance within the motor industry. You will be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to generate impressive results by increasing sales performance, profitability and operating efficiency. You must have strong leadership and people management skills as your primary focus is to lead your team to deliver their business objectives. You will be able to demonstrate that you share our company values and possess strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

To protect our customers and our reputation, successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check, along with regular fit and proper person assessments. We will also request references from previous employers as part of our pre-employment checks.
