Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring precision and quality in all work. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of high-quality products. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with various tools, and experience in sheet metal work. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal
Fabricate components according to technical drawings and specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
Measure and mark materials accurately using basic math skills
Assemble fabricated parts into finished products or sub-assemblies
Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the fabrication process
Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations
Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to fabrication equipment as needed

Experience

Proven experience in TIG welding and general fabrication work
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Strong understanding of sheet metal work and assembly processes
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for fabrication tasks
Experience working with various materials including metals used in fabrication projects

Working hours

Monday - Friday 7.30-16.30

With the possibility of overtime

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
