Full job description

Beacon Case Management is seeking an exceptional Clinical Lead and Registered Manager to join our growing and ambitious team. Salary. £57k FTE. Pro rata £24,320

This is a part-time position of 16 hours per week, worked flexibly across the week to meet the needs of the service. The successful candidate will be given autonomy to manage their working pattern, subject to operational requirements and regulatory responsibilities.

The post holder will be required to work a mixture of virtual and in person at our head office, depending on service requirement.

As the CQC Registered Manager and Clinical Lead, the post holder will be expected to provide advice and support in relation to urgent clinical, safeguarding, operational, or regulatory matters as required. The post holder may also participate in the organisation's out-of-hours advice and support arrangements. Whilst calls are infrequent, a willingness to provide occasional out-of-hours guidance and decision-making support is essential.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced clinician and leader to take ownership of our CQC-regulated activity whilst providing clinical leadership across our specialist brain injury and complex care services. This post is focused on clinical governance, quality improvement, professional leadership, and strategic service development, with operational service delivery responsibilities largely supported by our Head of Service Delivery and the wider management team.

You will work closely alongside the Managing Director and Head of Service Delivery, joining a positive, supportive, and forward-thinking organisation committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and families affected by catastrophic injury.

We are looking for a confident and experienced professional who can provide expert advice on complex clinical matters, inspire excellence within our team of Case Managers, and ensure the service continues to meet and exceed CQC standards.

The Role

As the CQC Registered Manager and Clinical Lead, you will:

Hold responsibility for Beacon Case Management's regulated activities.
Safeguarding lead.
Lead on CQC compliance, governance, quality assurance, and inspection readiness.
Act as the organisation's subject matter expert on CQC regulations, standards, and best practice.
Provide clinical leadership and guidance relating to acquired brain injury, catastrophic injury, and complex care.
Support, mentor, develop, and inspire our team of Case Managers.
Deliver regular group supervision, learning events, reflective practice sessions, and training.
Monitor the quality of case management practice and provide constructive feedback and support.
Review and develop policies, procedures, governance systems, and quality frameworks.
Promote innovative thinking and contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
Support clinical decision-making in complex and challenging cases.
Participate in senior management and governance meetings.
Work collaboratively with the Managing Director and Head of Service Delivery to achieve strategic objectives.
Be available to provide advice and guidance in urgent situations and participate in the out-of-hours advice arrangements when required (calls are historically infrequent).

Essential Requirements

We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate:

5+ years experience as a CQC registered manager.
Significant experience in complex care, neurological rehabilitation, acquired brain injury, or catastrophic injury services.
Experience as a Case Manager managing highly complex cases.
Strong understanding of the clinical, psychosocial and family impact of life-changing injury.
Experience managing, supervising, mentoring or developing healthcare professionals.
The ability to successfully complete the CQC Registered Manager application and interview process.
Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, quality assurance, governance and safeguarding.
Experience conducting audits, reviewing practice, and improving quality standards.
Exceptional communication, leadership and influencing skills.
Confidence in making clinical decisions and providing professional challenge when required.
The ability to remain calm, objective and professional under pressure.
Strong report-writing, documentation and IT skills.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
A passion for developing people and services.

Desirable Requirements

Registered Nurse or AHP
Experience leading a successful CQC inspection resulting in a Good or Outstanding rating.
5+ years of leadership experience in health and social care.
Knowledge of medico-legal case management and litigation services.
Advanced understanding of the Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding and Clinical Governance.
Membership of BABICM and understanding of industry standards and developments.
Experience delivering professional training, workshops, or educational programmes.
Postgraduate qualifications relevant to leadership, rehabilitation, neuroscience, or healthcare management.
