Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a flair for creating delicious, high-quality dishes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic environment, contributing to the overall dining experience while developing your skills further. The successful applicant will be responsible for food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
Assist with menu planning and development to introduce new culinary ideas
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations
Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings
Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience in restaurant or hospitality sectors demonstrating excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of culinary trends and innovative menu development is advantageous
Previous serving experience is beneficial but not essential; a passion for hospitality is key
