Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable sub contractor Ground Worker/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of site preparation, maintenance, and support tasks to ensure smooth project progress. Your energy and commitment will help create a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to exciting projects.

Responsibilities

Assist with site clearance, including removing debris and preparing work areas for construction activities
Support the delivery and movement of materials around the site using manual handling techniques or basic equipment
Help with setting up safety barriers, signage, and temporary structures to maintain a secure work zone
Carry out general labour tasks such as digging, trenching, mixing materials, and loading/unloading supplies
Maintain cleanliness of the site by disposing of waste and ensuring tools and equipment are organized and safe
Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and promote a secure working environment
Support skilled tradespeople by providing assistance as needed throughout various phases of construction projects
Must be able to drive to get to and from sites.

Skills

Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods
Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
Ability to operate basic tools and equipment safely; prior experience is a plus but not required
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs
Attention to detail to ensure safety standards are maintained at all times
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a positive work attitude

Pay: £15.76-£22.49 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
