Creative Media & Marketing Teaching Assistant

Location: Bishops Stortford

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Part-Time (2–3 days per week), Term Time Only

Working alongside sports clubs, businesses, charities, and creative organisations, we help young people build the skills, confidence, and experience needed for successful careers within the creative industries.

We are looking for a positive, creative, and motivated individual to join our team as a Creative Media & Marketing Teaching Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or aspiring creative professional looking to gain valuable experience within both the creative and education sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a varied role where you’ll support both the day-to-day delivery of CRE8 and help showcase the fantastic work our learners produce.

Typical responsibilities may include:

Supporting tutors during lessons and practical workshops.
Assisting learners with creative projects and portfolio work.
Capturing photos and videos of lessons, events, and activities.
Creating content for CRE8 social media channels.
Designing simple graphics and promotional materials using Canva.
Helping to promote learner achievements and success stories.
Supporting open evenings, recruitment events, and industry visits.
Assisting with general organisation and project administration.

No two days are the same, and full support and training will be provided.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be an expert in everything.

We’re looking for someone who has confidence in some of the following areas:

Social media
Content creation
Photography
Videography
Graphic design
Digital marketing

You may be:

A recent graduate from a Creative Media, Marketing, Photography, Film, Digital Content, or similar course.
A content creator looking to gain professional experience.
Someone interested in a future career in education.
An aspiring marketer looking to build their portfolio.
A creative individual looking for a role with variety and progression opportunities.

Most importantly, you’ll be enthusiastic, reliable, organised, and enjoy working with young people.

Essential Skills

Good communication skills.
Positive and professional attitude.
Basic content creation skills.
Experience using social media platforms.
Confidence using Canva or similar design software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Desirable Skills

Photography or videography experience.
Basic photo or video editing skills.
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud.
Understanding of social media marketing.
Experience working with young people.
Full UK Driving Licence.
