NEW MANAGER REQUIRES A COOK

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your culinary expertise in a dynamic environment, contributing to the satisfaction of our guests and the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook a diverse range of meals according to recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist with meal planning and portion control to minimise waste
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Monitor ingredients stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and cleaning protocols
Serve dishes to guests in a professional manner, ensuring presentation meets company standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, ideally within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills
Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
A passion for cooking and delivering exceptional customer service
