We’re on the lookout for a Graduate CRM Assistant to join us and play a key role in creating those stand-out experiences for our customers. This is a great opportunity for someone either at the early stage of their career or is a recent graduate-who is eager to learn, gain hands-on experience, and develop a future in marketing and CRM.
In this role, you’ll get right to the heart of how we communicate with our customers. You’ll review and shape our communications across the entire journey-from order confirmations to delivery updates and beyond-constantly looking for opportunities to improve, personalise and add value. A big part of the role will focus on email and SMS communications, helping to build, refine and optimise campaigns so they land in the right way, at the right time. But it doesn’t stop there. You’ll also work closely with AOers across the business, from Customer Service and Logistics to Tech and beyond, giving you real exposure to how everything connects behind the scenes.
It’s a role where you’ll be encouraged to share ideas, get stuck in, and make a genuine impact-all while building your knowledge of CRM and growing your career in marketing.
Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we’re together.
Support the team in mapping out the transactional communication journey for all business units, and regularly reviewing this to make sure we’re delivering a great customer experience
Put together creative briefs for new communications, or updates to the current journey, across email and SMS
Collaborate with Tech teams on what data you need to execute the new comms
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, including Customer Service, Logistics, Project Managers and IT teams
Roll your sleeves up and build the customer segments, emails and SMS in Emarsys (our CRM system) - or work with the email development team to build campaigns that are a little bit more complex
Report and analyse the campaigns we roll out to help decide if they were a success and if we need to change anything to be better
Occasionally you’ll support our contact centre teams in sending batch communications that can’t be automated, but are still required to make sure our customers have a smooth journey
A strong interest in developing a career within Marketing and CRM
Comfortable working with data and using insights to support decision-making
Able to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders
Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Educated to degree level in Marketing or relevant degree
We’re big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They’re our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it.
But we’re more than that… For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from nearly ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it’s the exact same for our AOers too.
We truly believe it’s more than just a job, we genuinely care about each other and our impact on making our customers lives easier, by helping them brilliantly. Everyone here knows how their role makes a difference. Our people are our superpower, so, when it comes to finding new AOers, we know it’s about more than just a CV, it’s about what makes you, YOU.
