Job Description

A Workshop Operative will be responsible with assisting and undertaking various task in the refurbishment workshop. These tasks include:

Assisting with contract orders
Receive deliveries of goods and supplies
Storing of goods received
Organising stock by hand or a forklift truck (license required)
Packaging of purchase orders
Stripping of seat covers
Operating with various tools – staple guns, spray glues, knifes, saw blades, general tools, etc
Daily organisation of workshop, with weekly deep clean

Potential progression pathways; upholstery of bus seating, aftersales & cutting.

The role can be fast paced, so we are looking for individuals that can work under pressure and systematically.

We want someone who will take ownership for their actions and performance, with a drive to grow as our business grows. Progression within our company is very important and so we are looking for someone who will want to progress to more specialised roles within the company.

The role will be a physical one, so we are looking for individuals who are capable of maneuvering various range of objects, varying in size and weight, with an understanding of health and safety regulations.

Experience is desired but not required as training will be provided.
