Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Installation Operations Coordinator to take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and smooth running of our bathroom, kitchen and bedroom installation operations.
This is a hands-on operational role requiring substantial industry experience. The successful candidate must understand the practical requirements of bathroom, kitchen and bedroom installations and be confident dealing with installers, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, deliveries and site issues.
The role will also have responsibility for all company deliveries, ensuring products are collected, checked, transported and delivered safely and on time.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring every installation progresses efficiently, professionally and profitably from the point of handover through to completion and final sign-off.
Key Responsibilities
Installation Management
- Coordinate all bathroom, kitchen and bedroom installations from initial handover through to completion.
- Review installation packs, drawings, specifications and product lists before work commences.
- Ensure installers have the correct information, products, drawings and materials required.
- Schedule and coordinate installation teams and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress against agreed installation programmes.
- Liaise directly with installers throughout each project.
- Identify potential installation issues before they become problems.
- Arrange additional trades where required, including plumbers, electricians, plasterers, joiners, tilers and decorators.
- Ensure installers and subcontractors meet company standards.
- Carry out regular site visits where required.
- Inspect completed work and coordinate snagging.
- Ensure all outstanding works are resolved promptly.
- Obtain customer sign-off upon completion.
Bathroom Installations
The successful candidate must have strong practical knowledge of bathroom installations, including:
- Plumbing requirements
- Sanitaryware
- Showers and shower systems

- Waterproofing/tanking

Deliveries & Logistics
The Installation Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing and carrying out all company deliveries.
Responsibilities include:
- Collecting products and materials from suppliers and warehouses.
- Delivering products to customer properties and installation sites.
- Loading and unloading products safely.
- Checking products before leaving the showroom/warehouse/supplier.
- Ensuring products arrive undamaged and complete.
- Planning efficient delivery routes.
- Coordinating deliveries with customers and installation teams.
- Ensuring products arrive at the correct site at the correct time.
- Obtaining delivery confirmation where required.
- Reporting damaged, missing or incorrect products immediately.
- Returning unwanted, damaged or incorrect products to suppliers.
- Maintaining accurate delivery records.
- Keeping company delivery vehicles clean, safe and maintained.
- Ensuring all company vehicles are operated responsibly and legally.
The candidate must be comfortable with physical work, loading and unloading furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, tiles and associated products.
Stock & Product Control
- Check products against orders before delivery.
- Identify shortages, incorrect products and damaged goods.
- Coordinate replacement products with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of outstanding items.
- Ensure products are correctly allocated to individual projects.
- Prevent unnecessary product losses and duplicate orders.
- Communicate stock issues to the showroom and purchasing teams.
Customer Service
The successful candidate will regularly communicate directly with customers and must represent the company professionally.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing customers with installation updates.
- Managing expectations regarding installation programmes.
- Attending customer sites when required.
- Dealing professionally with installation problems.
- Resolving minor issues quickly where possible.
- Escalating significant complaints to management.
- Maintaining excellent customer service throughout the installation process.
Subcontractor Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with approved installers and trades.
- Allocate work according to availability, skill and suitability.
- Monitor installer performance.
- Ensure subcontractors arrive on time and complete work to the required standard.
- Check completed work before approving final payments where appropriate.
- Report poor workmanship or repeated performance issues to management.
- Assist management in maintaining a reliable network of high-quality subcontractors.
Installation Quality & Compliance
The Installation Operations Coordinator must ensure that installations are completed to the company’s required standards.
This includes:
- Checking workmanship.
- Identifying defects and incomplete works.
- Ensuring appropriate preparation has been carried out.
- Ensuring installations follow manufacturer requirements where applicable.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
- Ensuring sites are left clean, safe and presentable.
- Recording and escalating significant issues.
Administration & Systems
- Maintain accurate installation schedules.
- Update CRM and internal systems.
- Maintain installation records.
- Record site visits, issues and snags.
- Track outstanding items.
- Maintain delivery schedules.
- Keep accurate records of subcontractor attendance and completed works.
- Provide regular updates to the Showroom Manager.
- Ensure completed installations are properly closed down administratively.
Essential Experience
The successful candidate must have significant previous experience within the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, fitted furniture, construction or home-improvement industry.

- Proven experience coordinating installations.
- Strong practical understanding of bathroom installations.
- Strong practical understanding of kitchen installations.
- Strong practical understanding of fitted bedroom installations.
- Experience working with multiple trades.
- Experience managing subcontract installers.

- Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable driving company vehicles and carrying out deliveries.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working for a bathroom, kitchen or bedroom showroom.
- Previous installation management experience.
- Experience using CRM or installation management software.
- Experience managing multiple installations simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of building regulations and relevant installation standards.
- Experience with site surveying.
- Trade background or practical installation experience.
- Forklift experience would be advantageous.

Working Pattern
The role will primarily be showroom, warehouse and site based and will require regular travel to customer properties and supplier locations.
The candidate must be flexible when required to deal with urgent installation or delivery issues.
Salary
Competitive salary depending on experience.
The position will be offered to an individual with proven industry experience who can demonstrate the ability to independently coordinate a busy installation operation.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has actually worked in the bathroom, kitchen or fitted furniture industry and understands what happens on site.
This is not an entry-level administrative position.
The successful candidate should be able to walk onto a bathroom, kitchen or bedroom installation, understand what needs to happen, identify what is missing or wrong, communicate with the trades, organise the required products and deliveries, and ensure the project gets completed to a high standard.
The ideal candidate is someone who can take ownership of the entire installation process and give management confidence that installations are being properly controlled from start to finish.
