Full job description

Are you an experienced technical sales professional ready to take the next step in your leadership career? Do you enjoy developing people, building strong customer relationships and driving commercial success? If so, ACO has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Building Drainage division as a Technical Sales Team Leader.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a highly skilled team, playing a pivotal role in supporting customers, delivering technical expertise and contributing to the continued growth of ACO's market-leading drainage solutions.

About the role

As Technical Sales Team Leader, you will lead, motivate and develop our Technical Sales team, ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service, technical support and commercial guidance across a wide range of customer enquiries and project opportunities.

You will combine strong leadership skills with hands-on technical sales expertise, supporting the team with quotations, project opportunities, product selection and commercial decision-making. Working closely with customers, contractors, consultants, merchants and internal departments, you will help drive quotation performance, improve conversion rates and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

About you

We're looking for someone who can inspire others while delivering excellent commercial and technical outcomes.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience leading or supervising a technical sales, internal sales or commercial support team.
A strong technical sales background within a B2B environment.
Experience producing quotations and managing customer relationships.
The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
Excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills.
Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
Experience using CRM and ERP systems alongside Microsoft 365 applications.
A proactive, resilient and customer-focused approach.

Experience within the construction sector or Building Drainage market would be advantageous but is not essential.
