Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef / Waiter / Waitress to join our dynamic team. This versatile role involves supporting kitchen operations as well as delivering excellent customer service in a lively restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, a friendly demeanour, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and service. This position offers valuable experience in both culinary preparation and front-of-house service, suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within the hospitality industry.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs, ensuring dishes are prepared to specifications.
Support meal assembly and presentation to meet quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and delivering meals with professionalism.
Clear tables promptly and assist in setting up dining areas for service.
Ensure all food safety standards are observed during food handling and storage.
Support the team during busy periods by providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
Restock supplies as needed and assist with general cleaning duties within the restaurant.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation is advantageous.
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices is preferred.
Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting will be considered an asset.
Enthusiasm for culinary arts or hospitality, coupled with a willingness to learn new skills, is highly valued. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food and customer service to gain practical experience within a supportive team environment.
