Job Introduction

Looking for a hands on role where no two days are the same, while earning ahead of Christmas?

Join Landmarc Support Services as a Training Area Operative and play a key role in supporting the UK’s Armed Forces. This 6-month fixed-term opportunity offers the chance to work outdoors, develop practical skills, and gain meaningful experience, all while securing reliable income in the run-up to the festive period.

Shifts run between: 08:30 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday. This role may involve occasional weekend shifts, which will be discussed during the interview process.

Hours of work: 37 per week

Contract: Fixed Term – 6 Months

Annual Allowances: £1,127.50 (pro-rata) for working weekends

Location: Caerwent Camp, Monmouthshire, NP26 5XL

This is a hands-on and varied role, where you will

Prepare and maintain training areas
Carry out grounds maintenance and basic forestry work (full training provided)
Operate plant and equipment
Support range control, access, and safety systems
Drive and operate fleet vehicles
Carry out inspections, testing, and reporting
Engage with service personnel and members of the public

About You

We’re looking for someone who:
Enjoys outdoor, practical work
Thrives in a team-based, fast-paced environment
Has a basic understanding of health & safety (training provided where needed)
Demonstrates good communication and problem-solving skills
Is comfortable using basic IT systems and completing documentation
No previous experience? No problem, full training will be provided.
