Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pub Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant pub environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The Pub Supervisor will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons while managing the smooth functioning of the establishment.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, servers, and kitchen personnel to ensure efficient service delivery
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality standards are met at all times
Manage the organisation of food production, including overseeing food safety protocols and hygiene standards
Assist with the preparation of beverages, including specialised cocktails and barista-style drinks
Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations within the pub environment
Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to promote customer satisfaction
Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality and fostering a positive team environment
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and supervise team performance to optimise productivity

Requirements

Proven experience in supervising within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with pub or bar experience
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Experience in team management, leadership, and staff training
Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations
Familiarity with serving techniques, hospitality standards, and customer service excellence
Previous experience working in hotels or similar establishments is advantageous
Barista experience is desirable but not essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Good communication skills with a professional attitude towards team management and customer relations
