Company Overview

The Orchard Cafe is an award-winning family-friendly establishment located within Worcester Woods Country Park. Known for serving high-quality, homemade, locally sourced food, it’s a lively spot with a bustling breakfast and lunch trade, accommodating over 120 covers with counter service. this role is based in the office in St Johns, Worcester and is not onsite at the cafe.

Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, and supporting our day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, familiar with accounting software sage 50 payroll and sage 50 accounts, and eager to contribute to the smooth financial functioning of the cafe.

Duties

Manage accounts payable processes by accurately processing invoices and payments using accounting software sage 50.
Maintain up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded and categorized.
Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing relevant reports and documentation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Handle routine administrative tasks related to finance, including filing and data entry.
Provide support during audits by organizing financial documents and answering queries related to accounts.

Skills

Experience working with accounting software, Sage 50 is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping practices.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and external vendors.
Basic knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
