Join the Team - Procurement Manager

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer to step up into the role of Procurement Manager and join our fast-paced and growing solar business. Operating within a company delivering over £50 million of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and ground mount solar projects annually, this is a critical senior role responsible for ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely procurement of materials and services.

This role requires a proactive mindset, a dynamic approach, and the ability to think outside the box to overcome supply chain challenges and drive continuous improvement in a busy, high-demand environment. The ability to think on your feet and make time-critical decisions is crucial.

This full-time role is based at our Worcester HQ.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage procurement activities across multiple solar projects, including C&I and ground mount installations

· Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and project timelines

· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms to deliver best value

· Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply in a fast-moving environment

· Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and finance to ensure alignment and efficiency

· Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new technologies within the solar industry

· Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement within procurement processes

· Ensure accurate stock control, forecasting, and inventory management

· Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and relevant regulations

Key Skills & Experience

· Experience in a procurement or buying role, ideally within the solar, renewable energy, or construction sectors, is preferred but not essential

· Strong knowledge of supply chain management, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation is advantageous

· Experience operating in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

· Proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills

· Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

· Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously

· High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
