Location: The Fountain, Gornal

Pay: £12.85-£12.95 per hour

Hours: 34-42 per week (full time)

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Senior Supervisor / Duty Manager to join our team at The Fountain, Gornal.

This is a hands-on role in a busy community pub. You'll be leading shifts, supporting staff, helping to maintain high standards, and playing an important part in the day-to-day running of the business.

Previous supervisory experience in hospitality is preferred, but attitude, reliability, and a willingness to lead by example are just as important to us.

What you'll be doing:

Leading shifts and supporting the team during service
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service
Opening and closing the pub
Helping to train and develop staff
Cash handling and basic stock control
Assisting with cellar cleaning and maintenance
Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
Supporting management with the smooth running of the pub

The ideal candidate will be:

Reliable and dependable
Able to lead from the front and set/drive standards
Calm under pressure during busy periods
A good communicator with customers and staff alike
Someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs doing
A team player who can balance being friendly with maintaining professional standards.
