An exciting opportunity to build something from the ground up;

Bella Refreshments Ltd is an established and growing wholesale business supplying soft drinks, snacks and confectionery to customers across the UK.

We're now taking the next step in our growth and launching a new Consumables, Disposables & Non-Food division.

We're looking for an experienced, ambitious and commercially minded Business Development Manager who knows this sector and can help us turn this opportunity into a major new revenue stream.

This is a genuine build-and-grow opportunity. You'll have the freedom to develop the product range, find new customers, develop our existing accounts and help shape the strategy for an entirely new division.

What you'll be doing

You'll have two key objectives:

1. Grow sales with our existing customers

Bella Refreshments already has an established customer base purchasing drinks, snacks and confectionery.

You'll identify opportunities to introduce additional products such as:

Disposable cups, lids and containers
Takeaway packaging
Foodservice disposables
Napkins and catering consumables
Cleaning and janitorial products
Catering and hospitality supplies
Packaging products
Vending consumables
Other high-volume non-food products

The aim is simple — increase our customers' spend with Bella Refreshments by becoming a much bigger part of their purchasing.

2. Win new customers

You'll also be responsible for bringing new customers into the business.

You'll identify prospects, make contact, arrange meetings, develop relationships and convert opportunities into profitable accounts.

You'll have the opportunity to target customers across sectors such as:

Hospitality
Catering
Takeaways
Cafés
Vending
Convenience
Leisure
Education
Healthcare
Wholesale
Foodservice

You'll help build the division

This isn't a role where you'll simply be handed a list of accounts and told to make sales.

We want you to help build the business.

You'll have input into:

Which products we stock
Which suppliers we work with
Pricing and margins
New product opportunities
Target markets
Customer acquisition
Sales strategy
Promotional activity
Growth plans

If you know the industry, we'll listen to your ideas.

Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in people who have experience selling consumables, disposables or non-food products into commercial customers.

You might currently be working in:

Catering supplies
Foodservice
Disposable packaging
Janitorial/cleaning supplies
Hospitality supplies
Wholesale distribution
Cash & carry
Vending
FMCG
Packaging
Non-food wholesale

You don't necessarily need to have worked in all of these areas — what matters is that you understand the market, know how to sell and have the commercial drive to grow a new division.

We'd particularly like someone who has:

A proven track record in B2B sales/business development
Experience within consumables, disposables, foodservice or non-food wholesale
A strong understanding of margins and profitability
Experience winning new business
The confidence to approach new customers
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
A proactive, self-motivated approach
The ability to identify opportunities rather than wait for them
A full UK driving licence

Existing industry contacts would be a major advantage.
