ANNA Cake Couture is a Bristol-based cake company known for beautifully crafted, couture-quality birthday cakes, cupcakes and macarons. Every cake we make is a little piece of celebration, and that same care and attention runs through our two shops — and the teams who bring them to life every day.

The Role

We're looking for a Front of House Supervisor to support our Shop Manager and our brilliant, rotating front of house team across our two Bristol shops (7a Boyces Avenue, Clifton Village and Cargo 1, Unit 8, Wapping Wharf). This is a hands-on, people-first role: you'll help keep the shop floor running beautifully, step up to lead the team when the manager isn't on site, and make sure every customer who walks through our doors has a wonderful experience.

It's a great opportunity for someone who loves being part of a close-knit team, thrives on keeping things organised, and wants to grow into a supervisory role within a growing, much-loved local brand.

Hours

35–40 hours available per week, worked across 5 days
Wednesday and Sunday are core working days each week
The remaining days are worked flexibly across the week
Shifts generally fall between 9:00am and 6:30pm
You'll be based across both of our Bristol shops as needed: 7a Boyces Avenue and Cargo 1, Unit 8, Wapping Wharf and our kitchen/office site when required (Old Market)

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the Shop Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of both shops, providing cover across sites as needed
Supervising, motivating and managing the front of house team during shifts, stepping into a leadership role whenever the manager isn't on site
Taking ownership of the shop floor and being accountable for the decisions you make while in charge
Delivering an exceptional standard of customer service - handling enquiries, orders and any issues with warmth and care
Overseeing opening and closing procedures, cash handling and daily shop standards, with a sharp eye for detail
Supporting the training, coaching and onboarding of team members
Helping manage stock levels, deliveries and merchandising so the shop always looks its best
Making sure health, safety and food hygiene standards are consistently met

What We're Looking For

Previous experience supervising, leading or managing a team, ideally within retail, hospitality or a café/bakery setting
Experience working in a bakery, cake shop, café or similar food retail environment
Someone who takes accountability and ownership, and is comfortable making decisions and standing by them
The confidence to raise a disagreement with a manager professionally and constructively when something isn't right
A genuinely warm, customer-first approach, sharp attention to detail and real pride in high standards
Flexibility to work across both Bristol shops and cover the core days of Wednesday and Sunday
The right to work in the UK

Pay & Start Date

£13.50 per hour
35–40 hours per week across 5 days
Immediate start available - we're keen to fill this role as soon as possible
