Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients efficiently and accurately
Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and storing ingredients properly
Ensure food safety standards are upheld at all times by adhering to hygiene protocols and proper storage procedures
Help with meal assembly and serving to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes to customers or guests
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing
Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with chefs, cooks, servers, and other staff members

Skills

Experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional or hospitality setting
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining efficiency under pressure
Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers or guests
Good organizational skills to keep the workspace tidy and ingredients properly stored
