Full job description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

To provide effective administrative support to the team to ensure the smooth running of a busy sales office.

CONTRACTED HOURS: 27.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday 8:30am-2pm). Flexibility may be required to meet customer demand.

CONTRACTED TERM: Permanent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

Liaise regularly with internal departments
Use correct processes to ensure all enquires are handled and managed from identification through to resolution, in an effective and professional manner
Preparation of manufacturing paperwork ready for factory processing
Raise, process and update various systems and data with PO’s and invoices
Liaise with internal and external parties for delivery updates, and gaining relevant paperwork
Ensure all buying activities are carried out in accordance with procurement processes
Identify opportunities to continually improve processes to ensure effective lean process to support operations
Liaise with customers and clients over the phone and via emails
Provide general administrative duties, including filing and scanning
Maintain filing systems for all documentation, both electronically and paper based

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A minimum of 3 GCSE’s, or equivalent, including English and Maths, at Grade C or above
NVQ in Business or Customer Service is beneficial but not essential.
Proficient with Microsoft packages (including Word and Excel)
Experience in an administration role
A background in manufacturing would be advantageous

Conscientious and task focused
Capable of working under pressure
Must be IT literate to a high standard
Strong attention to detail, and numerically minded
