Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager

About East Sussex National Resort:

Set in 1100 acres of English countryside, East Sussex National offers a perfect retreat for both business and leisure guests. With 104 beautiful bedrooms, Health Club, Spa with 9 Treatment Rooms and two championship Golf Courses. East Sussex National also offers a wide range of meeting and events space which is ideal for day meetings, residential conferences or that special social event.

Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, you will be/have:

Experienced within the role in high end restaurants/AA Standard
Excellent guest service skills with a background of exceeding and maintaining the guests’ expectations.
Self- motivated, proactive and highly organised
Proactive in running the day to day business
Experience of managing a strong team of Waiters and floor staff.
Computer literate, customer and detailed focused
Able to communicate well with team members from all divisions
Be a team player, working alongside the front of house and back of house.

Key Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for team work, leading, training and motivating team members.
Hold pre-session briefings as and when appropriate and make sure the team are fully briefed and trained on any new amended food and drink products, and any promotional activity.
Support and coach team members to up-sell.
Deal with any issues that arise during each shift promptly and professionally, seeking advice from the Restaurant manager where necessary.
Liaise with other departments including kitchen and door teams in the business to ensure every customer experiences a consistent level of service.
