About Parea

Parea is a Premium mens hair salon located in the heart of Upper Street in Islington, founded by three friends with a shared passion for the craft. We bring together traditional barbering and modern hair design, delivered with care, precision and attention to detail. Quality, consistency and genuine customer service are at the core of everything we do, and that extends to how we look after our team.

The Role

You'll be delivering a range of barbering services fades, tapers, scissor cuts, beard trims and creative styles — to a loyal and growing client base, in a calm and professional environment.

Responsibilities

Provide professional hair styling and barbering services tailored to each client’s preferences and needs
Engage with clients through clear, friendly communication to understand their desired look and offer expert advice
Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to hygiene and safety standards
Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximise client satisfaction and salon flow
Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and products in hair styling and barbering
Ensure all tools and equipment are properly sanitized and maintained for optimal performance
Build lasting relationships with clients by delivering personalized service that encourages repeat visits
Ensure the salon is kept clean, tidy and well stocked. Creating a welcoming environment for clients at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in hair styling and barbering, with a strong portfolio of work preferred minimum 1 year of shop experience.
Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain styling options and maintenance tips
Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Knowledge of current hair trends, techniques, and safety protocols in salon environments
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passion for helping clients look and feel their best
