We are now looking for a Finance Administrator to provide effective administrative support to the Accounts team, ensuring accurate financial records, smooth processes, and timely completion of key finance activities across the business.

As a Finance Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance team, helping to maintain accurate records, process financial information, and ensure the smooth running of our finance processes.

Working in-house within an ambitious SME, this is a varied and hands-on role offering the opportunity to develop your finance knowledge, gain exposure across different areas of the business, and contribute to the continued success and growth of our brands.

A taste of what you'll be doing

Support the Finance team with the day-to-day running of the department.
Maintain accurate sales and purchase ledgers, including customer accounts, supplier invoices, and payment processing.
Process financial transactions and ensure records are accurately maintained within Brightpearl.
Complete regular reconciliations across customer accounts, payment platforms, and bank statements, investigating discrepancies where required.
Support month-end processes, including adjustments, reporting, and account checks.
Manage finance administration tasks, including credit card reconciliations, invoice approvals, and finance inbox management.
Liaise with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve queries and ensure smooth financial processes.

Skills & strengths

Previous experience in a finance administration, accounts administrator or similar finance role.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using accounting or ERP systems is advantageous.
Good numerical and analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise professionally with suppliers, customers and internal departments.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information appropriately.
A proactive approach with the willingness to improve processes and support the wider finance team.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
